SETTEE · POLICY DRAFT

Terms of Use

Working draft for review. Based on the supplied 24 October 2026 policy draft. Settee is the working operator name; contact hello@getsettee.com. Legal operator identification, postal contact if needed, payment arrangements, metadata disclosures, retention details and copyright-agent registration remain to be confirmed. Some statements describe planned features. This draft is not the final published policy.

These terms are an agreement between you and Settee, operating as Settee in British Columbia, Canada ("Settee", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using Settee, you agree to them. If you don't agree, don't use Settee.

1. What Settee is

Settee is a media player. It plays channels and shows from sources you add yourself, such as a TV provider you subscribe to. This release includes no bundled channel lineup. Settee does not provide, sell, host or recommend any content or provider.

2. Your sources are your responsibility

3. Watching offline

You may download titles to watch offline only where your provider allows downloads. You can turn downloads off for any source. Don't use downloads to get around a provider's limits.

4. No adult content

Settee doesn't show adult content. It filters it out of every source automatically. Don't try to get around that filter.

5. Accounts and devices

6. Subscriptions and payment

Paid plans are not available. The subscription, refund and lifetime provisions below are draft terms for a future launch.

7. Ask the Usher

Ask the Usher suggests titles using artificial intelligence. Its suggestions can be wrong or incomplete. In kids profiles it only suggests titles that pass the profile's rating filter, but no filter is perfect.

8. Kids profiles

Kids profiles use age ratings supplied by third parties, such as The Movie Database (TMDB). They are a tool to help you supervise children, not a guarantee. Adults remain responsible for what children watch.

9. Acceptable use

Don't:

10. Feedback and bug reports

Settee is new and still changing. If you send a bug report or suggestion, we may use it to improve Settee without owing you anything.

11. Third-party services

Settee uses third-party services for hosting and title information. Any licensed metadata integrations and payment services will be identified in the final terms before use. We aren't responsible for third-party services or content.

We respond to copyright notices as described in our Copyright Policy, and we close the accounts of repeat infringers.

13. Disclaimers

Settee is provided "as is". We don't promise that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or compatible with every provider or device. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties.

14. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before it arose, or CA$50 if that's more. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.

15. Your responsibility to us

If someone makes a claim against us because of sources you added or how you used Settee, you agree to cover our reasonable costs of dealing with it, to the extent the law allows.

16. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time in settings. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where we reasonably can.

17. Changes

We may update these terms. We'll tell you about significant changes at least 30 days before they apply. If you keep using Settee after that, the new terms apply.

18. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes go to the courts of British Columbia, unless consumer law where you live gives you the right to sue at home.
